Welcome to my site and my world of art inspired by nature.

My landscape - My seascape -

My walk in the Woods and in the Mountains.

My paintings in oil and acrylic.

Here comes the lyrics....

Steinar Husby

Outdoor life is the best.

The changing nature, the seasons, the light, the rhythm of the day, the weather.

The weather is fascinating . It highlights the interface between the demands of nature and the ability of humans to master it.

A 0.27 mm tent fabric separates the  snowdrift from comfortable life.

The controlled jibe in the gusts of wind near Svarteskjær favored the direction towards Færder.

A clear starry sky over Hardangervidda guided the way to Rauhelleren in minus 15 degrees and headwinds.

The gentle summer breeze over Ærø in the South Funen Archipelago provided a nice contrast.

The first jump with self-packed parachute that opens as planned is joy in life.

The  Mountains.

Climbing and skiing in the mountains are fantastic. Lightweight equipment. Bad weather is fine. The backpack contains everything you need for overnight stays in the snow if necessary. The odds are in your favor.

The Woods.

It's the forrests in Oslo area that I know best. Nordmarka with long ski trips. Østmarka with pine forests and marshes. Bærumsmarka and Krokskogen - beautiful areas all year round. Good ski conditions.

A greate glide over Spålen under the full moon.

The Sea.

Progress with the help of the wind. Optimizing rigging and sails. Good boat spead. Strategy and tactics in regattas. Life onboard is different from life on land.

It's exiting to approach harbors from the sea. Then you are a sailor on shore leave. It's not the same to arrive in Skagen by car.

Fresh with a storm jib on Naomi III along the Southern Coast of Norway in 2020.

The sea provides inspiration. The beautiful sunset.

But also the exciting voyage.

Here, Vetle (12) has created a video from the Færder Race 2015.

Proud grandpa with three generations as crew on Naomi 2 - a Hanse 370. Later, there were regattas and trips with Naomi 3 - a Hanse 455.
